Sub:     Status of Laboratory Infrastructure, Quality Assurance & Accreditation of Laboratories - Reg.

Dear Sir,

CPCB is collecting information on above mentioned aspects to compile a brief report on the current status of laboratory infrastructure, quality assurance and accreditation of Central / Zonal /Regional Laboratories of CPCB and SPCBs / PCCs. This will give an insight into the strong points of the Pollution Control Board as well as in identifying the short coming and gaps in the quality assurance and excellence in the field of Environmental Measurement in the country. The information will be helpful in further strategic planning to strengthen the laboratory infrastructure and quality assurance in all pollution control board laboratories.

A simple questionnaire (Flag ‘A’) has been prepared by quality cell of CPCB and is being sent to you to pleaseprovide the required information in hard copy as well as soft copy to CPCB at your earliest please. A soft copy of the questionnaire is also being sent you. In case of any clarification Dr. S.K. Tyagi, Addl. Director / Scientist ‘E’ & Quality Manager, CPCB may be consulted ( Email id : cpcbskt@yahoo.co.in, Mob. No. 9868956529).
