Current Temperature Status and Warning for next two days

11 April        Heat wave conditions very likely at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch and at isolated places over interior Odisha, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Maximum Temperatures
Maximum temperature departures as on 09.04.2017: Maximum temperatures were markedly above normal ( 5.1°C or more) at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, East Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka, Vidarbha and Tamilnadu and at a few places over Odisha, Kerala, Marathwada, Gujarat region and Coastal Karnataka. They were below normal (-1.6 °C to -3.0 °C) at a few places over Rajasthan and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and West Uttar Pradesh. The highest maximum temperature of 42.8°C recorded atChandrapur (Vidarbha) in the country

Temperatures Recorded at 1430 Hours IST of Today, the 10th April 2017

  • Temperatures are more than 40.0°C recorded at most places over Telangana, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Saurashtra & Kutch, at many places over Interior Odisha; at few places over North Interior Karnataka & Gujarat region and at isolated places over Tamilnadu & east Uttar Pradesh.

  • Temperature rose by 2-4°C at most parts of west Rajasthan, many parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch; few parts of Gujarat, east Rajasthan & Punjab and at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh.
