Dear Associates
With a deep sense of sorrow I inform you of the sad demise of our beloved
Shri R Krishnan.
Shri R Krishnan was Director (Technical) of the company from the mid
eighties, during the crucial years of the implementation of our Kakinada
Fertilizer Project. He was associated with the company almost from the
inception of our Fertilizer Project and continued to be associated as a
Director with the company for many years.
A protégé of Shri Paul Pothen, Shri Krishnan had a wealth of experience and
great relationships with many consultants, vendors and contractors. As the
head of the project, he was responsible for setting up the first plant in
very trying circumstances. The result is a standing testimony of his and
his dedicated team’s work, which has received enumerable laurels over the
years.
Shri R Krishnan was a fatherly figure deeply loved and respected by all. He
nurtured many associates who even today look upon him and the company as
being responsible for what they are, whether in India or abroad. I had
worked closely with him all those years and have benefitted greatly from
the association.
We are deeply grateful to him for his contribution to NFCL and being such a
fine example of leadership, which will be remembered for a long time. Our
salutations to this great soul.
In this moment of grief, let us all pray that his soul rests in peace and
his family has the fortitude to bear this great loss.
