Oxygen Scavenger
The Oxygen Scavenger is used for removing oxygen from boiler feed water straight away. This catalyzed scavenger converts itself to sodium bisulfate and remove oxygen instantly from boiler feed water. It is also responsible for buffering pH and reducing alkalinity of the feed water. Having precise pH value, this chemical is acknowledged for its attributes like saving power energy, minimize oxidation corrosion, removes oxygen and precise pH value. This formulation range is idyllically utilized in food & beverage, dairies, pharmaceutical, poultry and sugar industries.

Application and Dosage
Chemtex’s Boiler Oxygen Scavenger should be dissolved with water in a separate tank with slow agitation and dosed continuously to the boiler feed water line after the deaerator. For every 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen, 24ppm of Chemtex’s Boiler Oxygen Scavenger should be ideally dosed. However, the dosage varies with feed water temperature, for exact dosage refers the below table:-

Handling measures and precautions
Proper human safety products such as Splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying chemicals. Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX’S CATALYZED SODIUM SULFITE should be dissolved with water in a separate tank with slow agitation and dosed continuously to the boiler feed water line after the deaerator.
For every 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen, 8-10ppm of Catalysed Sodium Sulphite should be ideally dosed. However, the dosage varies with feed water temperature, for exact dosage refers the below table:-

Hydrazine Hydrate
Here we discuss the use of Hydrazine Hydrate as Oxygen Scavenger in Boiler water treatment.
Hydrazine Hydrate is a clear colorless liquid. It generally comprises of a 80% assay product, that is used for removing dissolved oxygen in boiler treatment.

Application and Dosage

Hydrazine Hydrate with Catalyst
O2+ N2H4 2H2O + N2Oxygen + Hydrazine Water + Nitrogen Gas
The catalyst in the product helps to increase the rate of the above reaction and ensures complete removal of dissolved oxygen in boiler feed water in lesser time.
Chemtex’s Hydrazine Hydrate With Catalyst also prevents corrosion by forming a protective passive film on metal and by boosting the pH in condensate line.

Application and Dosage
Chemtex’s Hydrazine Hydrate With Catalyst is dosed at the rate of 5ppm for every ppm of dissolved oxygen from boiler feed water. It is recommended to maintain an excess dosage of 1.1 to 1.2 times the desired dosage as reserve for compensating the variation in oxygen content.

DEHA
Chemtex’s Deha reacts with oxygen to form acetates, nitrogen and water. It passivates the metal surfaces in the boiler, and then passes out of the boiler with the steam, and act as a metal passivating agent in the return line system.

Application and Dosage
Chemtex’s Deha is fed neat (undiluted) continuously to the boiler feed water depending upon the dissolved oxygen content, temperature and pressure of boiler. Theoretically the dosage is 1.3 parts active ingredient for every part of oxygen, but in application, a dosage of 3ppm active for every ppm of O2 is recommended.
